Two-day refresher training organized by Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO)
The Program Manager (PM) for the Borno office recently participated in a two-day refresher training organized by Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO), covering key areas such as Case Management, Family Tracing and Reunification (FTR), Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Response.
The training focused on best practices for emergency response, equipping participants with vital skills to:
Reunite families separated by the flood.
Provide psychological first aid and coping strategies.
Identify and address cases, offering immediate support and creating safe spaces.
A plenary session with the PM and partners further explored strategies to enhance community engagement in post-flood recovery.
The PM also stressed the need to prioritize men and boys during the 16 Days of Activism Against GBV, emphasizing that GBV affects both genders. He urged partners to raise awareness and encourage men to break the silence and report GBV cases affecting them.
