The 2025 International Day of Education inspires reflections on the power of education to equip individuals and communities navigate, understand and influence technological advancement. This year the focus is "AI and Education: Preserving Agency in a World of Automation.”

16 Days of Activism 2024: Empowering Communities to End GBV As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence 2024, Sirri Care Foundation held a vital meeting with stakeholders from Maiha and Gombi Local Governments. Together, we are strengthening partnerships and creating a unified front to end gender-based violence in our communities. 

Today, we stand together in the fight against HIV/AIDS. On this World AIDS Day, let’s honor those we’ve lost, support those living with HIV, and educate ourselves to break down the stigma. 💪 We must remember that HIV affects millions worldwide, but with awareness, prevention, and care, we can make a difference. It's time to amplify our voices, raise awareness, and take action for a world where HIV is no longer a barrier to living a healthy life.

Sirri Care Foundation recently hosted a sensitization program at Government Girls College, Maiduguri, focused on the impact of drug abuse and gender-based violence (GBV) in schools. The event brought together 70 participants—including students, school staff, and stakeholders—and featured expert-led presentations and interactive sessions that sparked important discussions. 

Human Rights Day is observed by the international community every year on 10 December. It commemorates the day in 1948 the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The formal inception of Human Rights Day dates from 1950, after the Assembly passed resolution 423 (V) inviting all States and interested organizations to adopt 10 December of each year as Human Rights Day.

As we celebrate Human Rights Day with the theme "Standing up for Equality and Justice", we reflect on the importance of dignity, freedom, and justice for all. This year’s theme reminds us of our collective responsibility to ensure that every individual, regardless of gender, age, or background, has access to the rights and freedoms they deserve.

In a collaborative effort with its LED partners, GBVS, Sirri Care Foundation successfully carried out a dignity kit distribution program aimed at empowering adolescent girls and vulnerable women in Gombi and Maiha Local Government Areas of Adamawa State.
